Major eLeagues Code of Conduct
Last Updated: November 2, 2026 · Version 1.1
By using Major eLeagues services, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. Our platform is built on respect, competition, and fair play. Violations may result in disciplinary actions including suspension or permanent bans.
1. Competitive Integrity
Cheating, exploiting, or using unauthorized software to gain an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited. Major eLeagues enforces a zero-tolerance policy on cheating even without a mandatory anti-cheat system. Players who cheat will be banned permanently.
2. Match and Tournament Participation
Players accept matches without knowing their opponents in advance. Once accepted, all matches must be played fairly. Players participating in solo queue matches and tournament competitions must maintain sportsmanlike behavior throughout. Tournament participants must complete check-ins on time, be ready to play at scheduled times, and follow all tournament-specific rules and formats. Repeated no-shows, failure to check in, or abandoning matches may result in disqualification and account penalties.
3. Respectful Communication
Competitive trash talking is allowed, but personal attacks, discrimination, hate speech, or harassment will not be tolerated. Keep all conversations related to gameplay and respectful of others.
4. Chat System Conduct
Our chat system is provided to enhance competitive interactions. Players must avoid sharing personal information, sending threats, or engaging in toxic behavior. Abuses of the chat system will lead to penalties.
5. Reporting and Enforcement
Major eLeagues staff, admins, and head admins actively review reports and evidence submitted by the community. For MeL-hosted tournaments, our admins and head admins monitor and enforce rules throughout the competition. For community tournaments, hosts are responsible for enforcement using our provided tools. Disciplinary action will be taken promptly and fairly against players found violating the Code of Conduct. All disputes require video evidence or other specified proof. Submit only authentic and unaltered evidence.
6. Tournament-Specific Conduct
Tournament participants must adhere to additional standards of conduct: (a) Accurate Registration: Provide truthful team and player information during registration; (b) Timely Check-In: Complete check-in procedures as required before tournament start; (c) Punctuality: Be available and ready to play at all scheduled match times; (d) Rule Compliance: Follow tournament-specific formats, brackets, and seeding decisions; (e) Result Reporting: Accurately report match results and scores; (f) Host Respect: For community tournaments, respect the authority of tournament hosts and their decisions. Violations of tournament conduct may result in immediate disqualification, forfeiture of prizes, and account suspension.
7. Community Tournament Hosts
Users hosting community tournaments are expected to: (a) Fairly administer their tournaments using our provided tools; (b) Clearly communicate tournament rules and requirements to participants; (c) Resolve disputes promptly and impartially; (d) Honor any prize commitments made; (e) Maintain respectful communication with all participants. Hosts who abuse their position, act in bad faith, or engage in fraudulent behavior will face account penalties including loss of hosting privileges and potential permanent ban.
8. Inappropriate Content - Zero Tolerance
Major eLeagues maintains a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate content. You must not upload, display, or share any content that is inappropriate, offensive, explicit, sexually suggestive, hateful, racist, discriminatory, violent, or otherwise objectionable. This policy applies to ALL user-generated content including: profile pictures, cover images, player avatars, team logos, team cover images, team avatars, GIFs, emojis, usernames, team names, chat messages, and any other media or text shared on our platform. Violation of this policy will result in immediate permanent ban without warning. Users banned for content violations or any other breach of our Terms and Conditions will NOT receive refunds for subscriptions, premium services, or any other purchases. All sales are final when account termination results from policy violations.
9. Streaming, Clips and MeLTV
If you stream your matches or submit clips: (a) No stream sniping: do not watch an opponent's live stream during a match to gain an advantage; (b) Featured streams must follow this Code: no offensive, hateful, sexually explicit or illegal content, on stream or in your channel's title and overlays, while your stream is shown on MeL; (c) Clips must show your own gameplay from the match you submit them to, and you must have the right to share them; (d) No impersonation: do not link a channel that is not yours, or present yourself as another player, streamer or MeL staff member; (e) Respect moderation: do not misuse the Report action, and respect our decisions on reports, hidden clips and suspensions. You can appeal through the in-app support system, but harassing reporters or staff over a decision is a violation in itself. Violations may lead to removal from MeLTV and Discover, hidden clips, an unlinked streaming account, or penalties on your account.
